About UsCookandStay is the brainchild of Victoria Richardson and Camille Haskell-Petch who both share a love of cooking and appreciate the cultural place of cooking in the fabric of society and our families. We're both 40 something, professional women who saw the need to promote culinary education as a fun and worthwhile activity in the current 'lifestyle as entertainment' environment. ![]() CookandStay owners Victoria Richardson and Camille Haskell-Petch. We know that lots of people who watch cooking programs on the telly, and have cookbooks on the bookshelf now want to actually be part of the whole experience by particpating in classes that are fun and informative. So we set up CookandStay as a new service that brings the activities of cooking schools all around Australia to people at home. CookandStay is the only way people can create fun culinary holidays for themselves and their friends by combining cooking courses as part of a new type of holiday experience. Cooking is enjoying a resurgence of popularity and gastronomic tourism is emerging as a form of special interest tourism. Large corporations are looking for cooking courses to build up teams and endorse cooperation and collegiate support. So we thought we'd do something about it. CookandStay offers an innovative website destination that markets, reviews and provides an online booking service exclusively for Australian cooking schools and allows people to select and book cooking courses from around the nation. We've taken up a challenge to expand our professional talents to deliver this service. Vickie is a Librarian by profession and Camille is interested in health and well-being and currently works assisting people with disabilities. CookandStay is a wholly Australian owned and operated company registered in the ACT. |
